Hopefully will be picking up my Tundra this week. Have a question about some of the storage areas in in the center console.
What is the long removable piece for next to the shifter? Is it to hide things under it? Also, the removable cup holders, is it removable to allow larger cups, or can you store things under there then put the cup holder back in place? Not sure if it matters, but I am refering to CrewMax Limited interior. Thanks! |

The long removeable plastic piece next to the shifter is for files. With the piece removed, you can have office files standing next to your shifter. They slip in there real nice. Makes for easy reach. As to the cup holder, it is removable and yes there is space under there but I don't believe it was designed to be a storage area. The cup holders are already big enough to hold most "biggie" size soft drinks.

As for the cup holder I think it is removable to aid in clean up after a spill or for wiring access. Don't really know for sure.

well, truck is awesome, I think.....
I don't drive it much, I have a take home car from work and I leave it parked at the station. I put about 300 miles on it so far. But those were 300 sweet miles! Hard to keep my right foot contolled. I never drove my f150 much either, had it for almost 6 years, traded it in with 35000 miles. Mardi Gras? This was the best one yet........mainly because I didn't have to deal with any of it!!!! I'm a cop in New Orleans, but this year I had to stay back at the station and do my normal stuff. Lucky too, this year there were 5 shootings on the parade routes, with 9 people shot!!! Not to mention the horrible weather that was here for the first few days. Rainy and ice cold! we have renamed Mardi Gras here MURDER GRAS!
