For those of you concerned with this area, I had some clear plastic floor liner that is used on carpet during open houses i.e - down hall ways, foot traffic areas, etc. Only one side is sticky, and it's made to put on carpet. It comes in a much larger roll than needed but I just cut out a square section and placed it on the carpet around the gas pedal area and then placed the Weathertech floor liner in. It's just a little extra protection.

Just happen to have some of that around the house, good idea, I'm on it!

just got my tracking number, mine will be in tomorrow. Now for seat covers. I'm sure there is a post about them, but any suggestions would be great. Tell me about the airbag issues too.

Have you thought of the rubber mats Toyota offers? I'm not sure what they're called. I got a set for $98 in Daytona at the Toyota dealership. I put them on top of the carpet mats No interference and yes they Tundra written on them

Go with the weather tech mats, I had husky in my previous toy and they were ok but the the WT are alot nicer. I got the grey colored ones and they show a lot of dirt, you might want to get the black ones.

I agree I have had my weathertech mats in for about a week and a half and I am very satisfied with the quality and fit of the mats. I went with the tan colored mats to go with my tan interior. The only issues I have is on the drivers side at the entrance point there is a little bit of warping from manufacturer that need to lay a little flatter, maybe this summer when the weather warms up and also there is no protection by the gas pedal but people have installed plastic carpet protector in that area. Any ideas where to get some of the plastic? I assume that it is adhesive backed?

Use a hairdryer and heat it up and form the plastic. I had the same problem and it came out great.

I will have to give that a try. I was figuring the heat this summer would help but I will try using a hair dryer. Thanks

I've been looking and found some mats at Cabela's. These look like they will channel water over the door sill and out of the cab. Check em out.

I have the husky floor liners front and back. They are awesome for keeping the mud from my carpet. I'm over paranoid because I have a regular pair of floor mats on top of the husky floor liners !!!

That's good to know. I have been trying to decide between the weathertechs and the Cabelas Trailgear2. The picture of the Trailgear2 look like they come up higher on the carpet hump to the right of the accelerator, so I was leaning to them. Now I quess price will make the difference. Unless anyone knows of mats that are formed to cover that area. I have big feet and tend to rest the side of my muddy boots on that area.

For the front mats, I just folded the warped side over itself to straighten it. It's almost like they have a wire inside the edge because it will hold the bended shape pretty good.

The rear mats appear to be made from a different material that is not as stiff as the fronts.
