Door rattles

OK, this is making me nuts . My JBL door speakers are wreaking havoc on my door panels and making them sound like junk. I have brought to dealer with little improvement and tried the business card in the change holder trick, but it still rattles. I am thinking that I will have to do it myself and remove the door panel and insulate with foam, glue and dynamat. I did this years ago on a Mustang Convertible that had a Mach460 audio system and the rattles went away after my little project.

Anyone tried this? Can someone tell me how to get the door panels off without screwing it up?

Any help would be appreciated.

Guess so homedawg! I also heard about the business card trick. Dynomat should help. I thought I heard somewhere else that the door panels come off pretty easy. Good luck with your project and keep us informed of the outcome.

Man, sorry to hear about that. That would drive me crazy.. If the dealer won't do anything about it.. Try a stereo shop and see if they have any recommendations.

Had the same problem at the time of purchase. Turned out to be a couple of plastic rivots that only the bodyshop was able to remove. Hope that helps.
