Great idea - I have been preaching for the past 10 years or more on having mfgs. do this with a crew cab/max with a 6 1/2' bed. Why not? Makes perfect sense. I think the only one who does it is Ford, and I would not get a Ford even though it is a good tough looking truck until they put a decent engine in there. Come on Toyota and Chevy, get a clue on what we want - just do it already!!!!!!!!!!! I will be first in line to get one. I wonder how much the conversion costs to get it done at the above place mentioned? If over 2-3 grand of which I am sure it is, it is too costly.

The cost makes this a no go besides it's bad appearance. You can get a very nice hauling trailer for far less. And if you think 5th wheel, do you really want to haul that much on a patched frame?
How does that look funny in any way? Anyway yeah I'm not good with a modified frame...perhaps if this was offered as a factory option on the Tundra HD. The "big 3" all have crew/long models...
Here is a picture of another Tundra with a longbed. Looks kinda funny, but it looks very practical for someone who needs it.
I say 1st trip off paved surface and it will turn into a teeter-totter, of course not everyone goes offroad.

I bought a DC because I wanted the 6.5 ft bed. That was more important to me than the interior space. Now if a crewmax with 6.5 ft bed would fit in my garage, I would seriously consider it.
If the CMLB was a 4x4 dually, I think it would look a lot better.
Just not the random design job they did on the SEMA dually right? That rear end is ridiculous, dually flares are supposed to bend back in before it reaches the tailgate, avoiding an even more massive rear end.
