My Tundra fits in the garage, but we had a 2 foot extention put on the garage when our house was built because I had a Ford Excursion at the time.

If I slowly ease my double cab until it physically touches the wall I can barely close my garage door. I have only done this a couple of times when it was hailing ice outside.

My DC sticks out about half a foot - to a foot... So I leave it outside. At first I was pissed it didn't fit (was scared of sun damage/ dirtyness) but after awhile, I like it outside because nothing can fall on it, no one can open there door on it, and nobody can brush something against it. It would be nice to have a bigger garage though, so I don't have to wash it every week!

I can get all three vehicles in the garage. I've got about six feet left in the Tundra bay. One of the reasons we bought our current house is the 32' w by 24' d garage. I can see how these trucks could be a tough fit in the average garage.

Damn that is a sweet truck! Ever thought about taking the badges off, painting them black, then reapplying?

Oh yeah, mine fits just fine.

I noticed that red disconnect rope hanging from your garage door opener. Well, when my truck was about a week old, of course I tried to get it into the garage (not easy). I drove in front first, up to the very front. My daughter came over and wanted to drive the new truck! I gave her the keys, she got in the drivers side, I got in the passenger side and closed my door. She's telling me how nice it is. She slowly backs out,,,when the roll-up garage door comes slamming down on the bed of the truck! Daughter hits the brakes and we stare at one another, as she says; what happened dad? I'm dumfonded,,,,after careful thought, I say, "I dunno". I thought maybe she accidentally hit the garage door opener? No, it wasn't that.
Well for all of you who are the same mentality as me, be aware of this one. When I got up into the truck, I closed the door on that little red rope. As my daughter slowly backed up, it unlocked the door from the screw drive and dragged the whole door down on the bed of the truck! Duhhhhh!

twoweeled,

I was wondering if that happened to any one. I backed mine in and noticed the rope and knob laying on the roof. Didn't want it to scratch up the truck so I tied it up. I was kind of wondering if it would hang up on the top light - now I know.

Hope it didn't mar the truck up.

John

I wish that mine would fit because I am sick and tired of all the dust that gets on my truck.

Just spent the past 3 hours cleaning my 3 car garage.......so my wife and I could park our cars in the garage. When I built this house I said to myself "its plenty big and a three car garage oh yeah".....

Well three hours later.....the Tundra is 1 inch too big to fit in the garage....hahaha, guess I will be taking a couple of the hurricane reinforcements off so it will fit.

Wallygator, lucky you live in NC and not WI or MN or ND where snow flies in the winter. Looks like 2-3" of the white stuff under the truck or in front of the garage would scrape the top of your truck with garage door.
My garage is standard 20'W x 24' deep and no problems length wise, but the misses and others on the right/passenger side has to get out first before driving the truck in the garage otherwise they would not be able to get out for sure. I angle the front end to the right another foot so the passenger side mirror and right front tire is within 2-3" of touching the right side of the garage. The DC tundra is about 19' long and still would fit into a 20x20 garage, but not able to walk in front and back at all really. Easy to do if you have done it after a few attempts although I have brushed the right side mirror a few times against the rubber weatherstripping around the right side garage door - lucky for me the mirrors fold both ways.

Yeah I could always park it in my big garage (40x60 steel building) but then I have to walk to the house. I will just remove the extra supports tomorrow.

Devonator, time to clean out that shed of yours don't you think? Is the shed storing the truck or is the truck holding up the shed?
