Earlier in the post was a dyno result from Car Audio Mag.

Here is another.

Minitrucking had yet another but I can find it. The Audio mag also had dyno results.

Is the kit worth the $100 plus, not when you can build it for $25

I also use inverters and laptops in my truck.

I wasn't trying to convert the world to extra grounding but it doesn't hurt.

I think one of the reasons for the big price tag is the wire has a specificfied amount of individual strands, anything less would be more resistant.

I read on a forum that changing to a black grille will increase mileage by at least .335789 mpg, plus or minus 1.0 mpg.. Apparently it has something to do with heat adsorbtion making the front end lighter....sorta like a hot air ballon. In additon to that there is the absolute fact that a black grille will expand with temp increase and improve the aerodynamics. Gota be true if it was on the internet.

Yeah man, kinda like how an SR-71's fuel tanks would expand in flight and they would stop leaking. I gotchu.

I would like to know if there is any truth to this. As the NUTJOB said..... before and after dyno sheets would be the proof. Anything less.......It didnt happen.

As odd as it sounds I heard something completely different... I heard that having a totally white truck inside and out plus painting your motor and every component white increases gas mileage by keeping things cooler and THEORETICALLY could make a .835789 mpg increase plus or minus 1

Read the article.

Mini trucking had a simular article a few months back but for the life of me I can't find it.

I can say this it did make a difference in the throtle response and the idle. I agree that half a mile per gallon is not a show stopper. I put this on my vehicle because I had had an experiance in my previous vehicle where it made a 2 mpg increase. Every vehicle I have done this to, 4, has had a change in the idle characteristics. and they all had measureable, 2, to marginal, .5, increases in the gas mileage. It is a great "I'm bored on a sunday afternoon " project for cheap. It is an improvement to your grounding system for those guy who can't leave well enough alone.

It was worth the small change and the 30 minutes of labor just to have people ask me "what's the blue wires for?" everytime I pop the hood.

Finally, read the article.

I have joined the dark side......and the cookies are very good. Peanut butter and chocolate, yum!
Algolfer69, I put mine in today. I wished I would of looked before I done this to see where my idle was, but now it idles at 500rpm. And I think that's down about 200.
Haven't got to drive it yet, now it's to see if I can get some improvement on MPG'S.

With all these vehicles that everyone has tried their ground system.
How old were the vehicles?
Do you live in an area where rust or corrosion happens fairly quickly?
And honestly how did you realize a 2mpg difference?

2mpg can be the difference of you drove somewhere different one day. you happened to be on the highway more. you stepped on it a little extra because someone pulled up next to you . I mean 2mpg is too small a number personally (and someone said .5mpg?!?!?) lol Someone send this into mythbusters!

Actually I ground my Evo 8 and it helped with radio reception, light brightness and idle. Who knows on a big V8 versus and hyper strung turbo 4

Is it just me...NEWS FLASH, if you're idleing your engine lower you're going to be saving gas. I'm thinking that all of that gas mileage your gaining is when you're at a stop light. Think about it this way, if you stomped on the gas (every time) while suck at a light, your gas mileage would be crap.

The fact that you're idleing lower also means it's going to take you longer to reach your torque and horsepower peak.

What is this, the old cranks forum!!

I swear, a bunch of negative people...at least all the jokes about one color being faster than another were funny.

I'll get to work on a before and after test.
