what are you spraying, tail lights and third brake take about three cans, I would just take them to a paint and body shop for about 100 bucks.

i wanna tint the turn signals on the mirrors. dont know about the taillights though. dont think it will look good on the slate. what exactly do they use at the body shop to tint them if i was to bring them in? i still want them to function and not be blacked completly out.

Body shops use different amount of layers to determine how dark it is.

Mine are 5 layers

Syber's are probably 10 (honestly)

I would take it in and have them just do like 3 layers .. that would look sharp

Well...here ya go...did this last weekend, just took awhile to get it posted up. I know the slates will like this. Eventually I'm putting black rims on her, and either getting the bumpers rhinolined or PCd black...we'll see

oh yeah, vht is sold on ebay all the time, but they do have to ship ground bc of the aerosol cans...I know for sure that summitracing.com has it too. The just get a few cans of clear some soapy water and 800,1500, and 2000 grit wetordry sand paper for prep and finish work. Also a good wax that will buff to a high gloss shine. Project time = about 8 beers, difficulty = 15 beers, overall = 12 beers should do it for a first timer.

I did this to my jeep about 4 years ago and have not had any problems with fading, cracking, etc...so this time I figured I could go way dark and they'd be fine. I've never been hassled by police officers lived in San Antonio for 2 yrs then here in Anchorage for 2 yrs. Even SPs on base don't say anything.
