just saw this: "solution to bed bounce"

https://www.willybar.com/VIEW_VIDEO_DEMONSTRATION.php

I thought this video was interesting.
This is a perfect demonstration of the bed bounce problems in Cal. To tell you the truth I have never experienced any bed bounce at all here in South Florida. This last weekend though I traveled to Gainesville and for the first time ever since owning the truck I felt strong vibrations coming from the bed in a long road around town, even my mom said "wth is that", I was a bit shocked, it was just like in this video, we had some sodas in the cup holders and everythhing started vibrating like crazy.

This solution consists on just adding metal places to the bed, adding weight, reducing bed bounce, not the best discovery in the world (many already know this) but it's good to know that new products are being created to reduce the bed bounce issue.

well not really sure if this "willybar" thing was posted or not, just thought it was worth it to bring it up.

i can see how this could help. when i have my atv in my bed, it seems to ride better. i dont think quite as much better as what this video demonstrates, but its still better. i wonder how much those steel plates weigh?

It says in the description "Most truck owners have found that 300-400 lbs is about the right weight to offset an empty truck bed and reduce this problematic and uncomortable bounce."

It is changing the resonant frequency for the truck. It may not vibrate anymore on that particular stretch of road, but it will on others that it didn't before.

I hate that thing. I fell like i'm driving a go cart when i'm in it. And for the record, she's not fat at all, i was just messing around. She weighs 125 tops.

rmjdrift, You had to have been on the 118 from DeSoto to Balboa and felt the bounce their? The other direction starts after the 405 to about Reseda.
I only have two 50 lb sand bags back there and it's not enough.
Seems those plates together are about 250 lbs.
There has got to be a way to mount weight under the bed. Like fill the bumper with cee ment. haha

So what this basically does is soften up the suspension in the rear. Do ya think some softer riding shocks would do the trick?
