I am not aware of anything like that. Might have to have a fab shop make something for you unless you are handy with that type of stuff and could DIY it. If you do find something post that info on the site so others are aware.

Great idea, once you've established a location for the second battery you'll need to install an isolator switch. This allows you to isolate the batteries from one another until you need the second battery, then all you need to do is flip a 3 position switch on your dash and the batts are combined. Flip the switch to charge position and you can charge the backup batt of your alternator. Flip it back to isolate and the batts are isolated from each other. I set one of these up on my Yamaha rhino cuz of the offroad lights, the sound system with amps and the winch I'm adding. It works awesome! Easy to install too. Check this link.Hellroaring Battery Isolator/Combiner BIC-75300

Funny I was just thinking of this. I'm (when I get around to it) going to put a 2nd bat in the Wrangler. The one I found stacks 2 Optama batteries. I will see if I can modify it to work in the Tundra.

jpnca , that's nice for saving some room . But where is there room under the hood for any extra battery ?
The engine compartment looks kind of crammed , especially if you have a C.A.I .
Any guess ?

Before I retired, I drove a 4x4 at work that was set up with a winch. We had two batteries, with a relay that separated them. One battery was dedicated to the winch. The truck kept both charged, but the one dedicated to the winch would not draw the one dedicated to the truck down (which would strand me out in BF Egypt).. A great side benefit to this was that when I occasionally left the radio and scanner turned on during my day's off. I could use the winch battery to jump start the truck (kind of a self rescue), but needed to use jumper cables, between the barreries to do so. The relays are readily available at 4 wheeler shops that deal in winches.

An isolator switch is what is used in setups like this, go back and read my post then check the hellroaring link. Sounds like the setup in your old work truck was just that, old. The isolator switch is the way to go.

With one of these you don't need cables

The bummer with this one is where the heck you gonna put it? Where ever you put it you have to route all the battery cabeling through it. The Hellroaring has a remote 3 position remote micro switch with a red and green diode.
