That annoying water that drips from my mirrors!!!!

Please tell me I am not the only one that is bothered by that LONG drip of water that comes out of the side mirrors hours after I have washed dried the truck.

I was thinking of silicone to fix the problem.... I am sure there are better ways to fix this problem,

Someone suggested using a leaf blower after washing the truck works great .
I don't own one , but if it works I'm going too .

you're not the only one. I just learned to live with it. If you have an air compressor, take it to the mirrors after a wash. I don't have one so I just slam the doors a few times to try to get all the water out. No matter how many times I do it though, I usually find a steak of water later on. I just hit it with some quick detailer and it's gone.

hahah. That's really annoying, the truck looks perfect, you go grab a beer and when you come back there are water drops all over the front doors. Bleaf blower works, while you are using it be aware that your neighbors will look at you as if you are insane.

If you silicone the mirror, then you are just sealing the water in the mirror. Not a good idea.

I think these mirrors hold about 10 gallons each , so if your riding in the desert don't fret too much !

Someone did a fix for this on one of these forums. Took off the mirrors and sealed something up.

Just dont spray water directly at the mirror and you wont have a drip problem. Windex the mirror after the wash to clean it. It works for me.

I guess I should have been more clear, I meant that the water drips from the area where the mirror assembly attaches to the truck.

All you have to say is "Tundra Mirror Drips" and every gen2 Tundra owner who has ever washed their truck knows exactly what you are talking about.
