You know that the oil shortage is BS and that the prices of gas will be going down once the republicans get voted back into office right!

What ? Have'nt they been in office for the last 2 terms ? Remember oil was 40.00 a barrel before the invasion of Iraq and thier oil output is nowhere near the 2 million barrels a day they were pumping . Now that the big 4 oil companies are going into buisness in Iraq , you really think prices are going to go down ?

Gas prices sure as hell ain't going down in our lifetimes, so I can't fault anyone making a financial decision based on needs.

If I didn't NEED a big ass truck, I wouldn't own one either. Even my Corvette stays parked more now then I like it, but such is life.

Can't run a Contracting business from the hatchback of a Prius or Smart Car now can I?.

Exactly, needa wing us off the gas nipple, worlds getting f**kd up from it. gas sucks but who cares, less driving for americans=less pollution, only way to help emissions is to jack the price up. i say take all vehicles before the year 2000 off the road.

What? That's insane.

Because surly my '08 5.7L Tundra leaves a significantly smaller carbon footprint then that of my '95 5.7L LT1 Corvette?

Maybe a bit, but not much I'd bet.
