question about engine oil come here!!

well my first oil change is coming up. Call me a freak but I want to use the best oil out there in this truck. The manual says that I need 5w 30 oil for my 4.7L. So what brand/type of oil does the dealer use?

I was thinking on using mobil 1 synthetic. Am I better off buying the oil and taking it to the dealer? or are they using some good stuff as well?

need some suggestions...

thank you

I requested Mobile 1 at the dealership last week when I got my first oil change. They had it and the oil change only cost me $10.00 more than if I had bought the oil and filter at Walmart and changed it myself.

Pick up the Mobil 1 yourself and take it with you to get the oil change. Wally World has 5-20 for $20-$22 plus tax.

Mobil 1 has a new oil out, 0w-30. Meets factory warranty requirements for 5w-30 and 10w-30 specified applications, (according to Mobil 1) and it's supposed to save gas. You might want to check it out. Walmart carries it.
