These calipers get damned hot, so it's best to use dedicated caliper paint or other hi-temp product.

..........been using the Krylon about 7 years now on various vehicles.....not a single issue at all. Maybe your buddy painted over dirt/break dust, if so, ain't nothin' gonna stick .

Yes High temp Krylon worked great so far.

the other day when i was at the shop while they were lifting my truck, they painted several people's calipers.

they were using a high temp resistant CERAMIC spray paint to paint the calipers.
