Build Date & Delivery Date??? - TundraTalk.net

OK, so I just realized that the build date for my truck is coming up on MONDAY! I am curious... Has anyone ordered a truck? If so, how long did it take to get the truck after it started being built? I'm so tired of stolking this stupid truck googling images, researching and watching youtube videos! I want mine dangit! My sales guy told me that it would be first week of June or sooner... I want days... I need days to start counting down! LOL I know it's being built in Texas so it shouldn't take that long to get to San Diego!

I went to Longo Toyota one of the biggest dealers in the country and got my pick out of over 200 new Tundras and found the exact one I was looking for interior and all. I originally had a mica jade green one on order but couldn't wait so I looked at about 150 trucks and I found the one I was looking for but slate. Love the slate!

I'm lucky to have just found a black one. I really wanted black on black but had to settle for black with grey interior.

I was lucky enough that the first one I looked at was the right color and had everything that I wanted except for the steel rims.

Yea I got sick of waiting and they knew where mine was. Blk/Blk Crew/alloys SR5. Finally the day came, "let's go pick it up" I left work early. Thought there would be swirl marks or 80 miles on it. Shaking for weeks, lost 5 lbs.
Now I'm cool !!!

Ugh! It's killing me slowly!

I suppose that's what I get for having my heart set on Blk/Blk and not wanting less... call me a brat but I figure if I'm going to spend that much I want what my heart is set on right!

I think they are all listed as a Monday build. That just means it's scheduled for this week. Expect to get it in about 2.5 to 3 weeks.

I'm just going by how long my delivery took to get to my dealer. Mine was built during the very end of May and didn't reach my dealer until the 16th of June. It had 5 miles on the odometer.

I didn't even look at my truck until after I had purchased it. After the paperwork and what not was all done, the salesman brought it around.

I'm sure that will be so foreign to some taht they will think I am exagerating - but I'm absolutely serious.

My situation will probably be the same! I'm signing paper work before it gets here. I test drove a crew max probably close to 8 months ago now. But it didn't come close to what I'm getting!

All I know is that I'm in LOVE so there is no way it can let me down!

One thing you might wanna do is ask them to NOT prep (wash) your truck before they deliver it to you. That way you can do it with the tender loving care only the owner can give it. Black + half-assed washing techniques = swirl marks galore!

Asking them not to wash the truck is a good idea. They get the kid who makes the least amount on the lot to wash the truck. Either that or they run it through the lot carwash. There is no care taken when washing the truck. Better to do it yourself.

Speaking of washing the truck, mine could use a bath.
