Being in the military is kinda like being a cop or fireman......90% of the time your overpaid......10% of the time....You never can be paid enough.

There's another saying in our dept, We don't pay you for what you do....We pay you for what you might have to do.

Are you Fing KIDDING ME!!!! Sorry but no amount of money is worth my husbands life! No amount of money is worth ANYONE losing their life no matter what job it is! To me military, cop, firemen or whatever the case may be - you do the job because that's your passion money has nothing to do with it. Talk all you want about banking in the military... the pay is a joke!

Agree Whole Heartedly. Been there for 21 years in the gulf too many times with many sea stories. One of my cruises over there was over 11 months so I do understand the pay and the job of the spouse at home trying to keep it together.
