How did or are you paying for your lift to make it the most affordable!!need idea's

I am wanting to get a lift on the truck. I was wondering how you guys paid for your lifts and wheels/tires. If you got another credit card w/ 0% financing or any special pricing from the dealers. Just trying to get an idea other than you guys that paid cash or have the cost tied in with the truck from the dealer. thanks for the input. I think this might help some other guys that are leaning on the edge of getting a lift.

PS: If you don't mind me asking what did you guys pay for your lift package "wheels/lift/tires/installed?

Getting a new credit card with 0% for a year would be a good idea as long as you pay it off within that year of course. Average 6" lift with new rims/tires will run you 5K, give or take a few hundread.

Procomp Stage2 = 2K
Wheels = 1K
Tires = 1K

Installation = 1k.

with a bad economy more people use credit cards, don't expect to see lower rates from that credit source ! It will probably go up as more people become risks..........

Yes, people do that all the time. You will be hit with the transfer balance fee. Usually about 3%, but still way cheaper than whatever the normal percentage rate is.

That's what I'm waiting for. Tax return money. I don't want that nice balance sitting on my credit card.

i really like the leveling kit but the way I look at it you pay $2,500 for wheels either way and $700 for the toytec installed i would just buck up and spend the extra $1,500 for the stage 2 installed

Exactly the way I look at it as well. I was thinking of just going with a leveling kit but then I see pics of higher trucks and I change my mind. The leveled trucks look good too but I just want a little higher.

I'm tellin you guys right now I've been down that road and it has a dead end, that is if you just do the leveling kit. When you put any lift on your truck the first thing that will happen after you get used to the height is you'll want to go higher! With a level kit it won't be a good idea to add a lift on top of it. Start with the 6" lift and you can always add a 3" body lift on top of that. Oh ya and if you get a ProComp lift installed at 4wheel parts they will not do a lift on top of a lift fyi.

Do you have any friends with 6" lift that you can ride? There will be a noticable difference from a level kit to a full blown lift kit. I decided on a 3" front 1" back lift to give me a factory ride. Many people will get a 6" lift and complain of the ride quality, tire balance, etc.....a friend just had to replace his tires and wheels because two shops couldn't get them balanced. It was just shredding tires. If you just want to ride high no matter what, well then just do your homework. I can't think of a more important aftermarket change.....as far as doing it right....than a 6" lift or higher.

Check around too, look for places that have done many lifts on your rig, and ask them the kit, what were the results, etc......I was quoted big price differences.....some good tire shops wouldn't do lifts at all.

Good luck....it's a tall decision. LOL

1sicktundra just my opinion, but I really dig the leveling kit I had installed. I love the look and price versus a 6 inch...plus I did not feel the need to compensate with a 6 inch or higher lift. ROTFLMFAO JK guys with the real lifts your Tundras are hot. Here are my pics of the toytec with BMF 20s and 275/60/20 Cooper Zeons. I am a cash money balla like tundracats, but my out the door price for lift, wheels and shoes was $2300, but my tires were used. Sorry I just cant help it, got to keep posting those pics. OUT
