0W20 oil

I can't seem to find this stuff. Anyone here know where I can buy some? Most places don't carry it or if they do they only have a couple quarts.

Thanks

Our Walmart has the 0W20 in the quart jugs and 5W20 in both the quart and gallon jugs. My dealership only charges $10.00 more than I can buy the oil and filter from Walmart for. I think for ten dollars, I'll let the dealership change the oil.

I got on the Mobil 1 website and entered my zip code for a store locater. Here's the link:
" + client + ": Find Mobil 1 Oil

Turns out the local Wal-Mart started carrying it as some others have mentioned.

Thanks guys. I haven't checked to see what the dealer is charging yet but I will. I would prefer to do it myself so I know it is done right!

I would agree with that statement. Not to mention the old oil to return.

Here's some info you didn't ask for...

Motor Oils - Fuel Economy vs. Wear

Many will say newer engines are tighter and thus require thin oil... Sp here's a quick comparison of two oil clearance specs for a 1990 LS400 V8 and the 2008 Tundra V8. Both use an aluminum block. Check out the max limits for both engines, note the pistons! draw your own conclusions.

Main bearing oil clearance

LS400 standard all journals .0010 - .0018

Tundra standard journals 1 and 5 .0007 - .0012
standard journals 2, 3, 4 .0010 - .0015

LS400 max clearance limit .0022
Tundra max clearance limit .0024<-----!!!!!

Piston to cylinder wall clearance

LS400 standard .0008 - .0016
Tundra standard .0019 - .0028

LS400 wear limit .0024
Tundra wear limit .0152<------!!!!

Who will go that long without and oil change? Sounds great 25,000 miles or one year oil change. That's 5 oil changes the other way and the cost is cheaper per quart than the dealer by over a dollar.

funny because my wifes Audi Dealer recommends 10,000 mile oil changes! When I heard that I was like WHAT?? The standard that has been beaten into my brain since I was a kid was every 3,000 miles.

But hey Audi is cool with 10,000 and they are warrantying it, so whatever.

Did that on my last truck, worked great. Changed the oil filter only every 5K, then topped off the oil if needed.

Sent a 10K sample into Blackstone, results were excellent, showed it was holding up very well.

Has anyone tried the Amsoil method???? If so, what kind of life did your motor get?? Just hard to belive. I have beed doing the 3000 mile thing for years with good results, never tried synthetics but something I am open to. With the price of oil these days I will try anything to save a buck and increase the life of my truck..

My 02 Tacoma gets a DINO oil change every 7000 miles. Not a problem yet - not even close with 136,000 on it.
My Tundra will continue to get 5w30 DINO oil like the dealer used at the 1st oil change since i still get 15mpg city (with a/c on) and 20mpg highway (with a/c on)...

Yeah - IMHO, changing oil every 3,000 is extreme overkill. Honestly I doubt very seriously if changing it more often than reccomended would have an effect on longevity. Sure does make the oil companies happy though.
