Closing Sale... NEED ADVICE!

Hey everyone. My first post here, but I've been lurking for a week or so. Local dealer located a Black SR5 5.7 and I am going to take advantage of the 0% APR. Truck is in route, but not at the dealership. Got a call today asking for me to come down and sign the paperwork just in case the truck doesn't make it by 4/30 (0% ends 5/1).

Is there any reason NOT to sign before the truck gets here? It was not a special order, just a truck the dealership had already placed an order for. I'm worried that something may be wrong (like a scratch or something) and I won't be able to refuse the truck or negotiate if I've already signed. Help!

Great advice! I did my walk around when the sun went down and noticed some minor damage later on that I KNOW I didn't put on it. YOu should be able to sign all the paper work, EXCEPT for the walk around check off. You'll do that when you go pick up your truck.

Loan rate

I haven't worked out the numbers for other than my specific instance - but for me it was way better to take the $3000 rather than the 0%. Honestly, it wasn't even very close - it was much better to take the 3k. I did get 4.7% from Toyota though - the rate you can qualify for will make a difference.

Yea, I kindda wish I would of taken the rebate instead of the 0%/48 since I'm paying more monthly than is required. I'll have it paid off much sooner than 4 years so it would of benefit me more to take the rebate. Do the math and do what's best for your situation.

First of all relax. What they are doing is the same they did for my wife's Prius. None on the lot. We had to wait on the Port Authority to release it and the dealer grab it. If it isn't what you want or like you don't have to go ahead with the deal. REASON you are signing a blank contract. Just like my wife did. You have to go in and fill in the blanks meaning resigning a contract with all information on it. They don't have the mileage or the vin yet so they can't hold you accountable. Hope you get what you're looking for.

UPDATE: Went down the other day to sign and the truck rolled in on the delivery truck as I was pulling into the lot! I got to do a walk-around and make sure everything was fine. Went ahead and signed and it went out for custom leater the next day. Yesterday it had XM installed and toughgard for the paint. I take possession today!
