2.5" OME lift with 35s?

I am wanting to put 35" BFG A/T on my 08 tundra and I am wondering how much of a lift I would need without rubbing? Will the OME be enough?

I'm not sure what OME is but please let me know how it turns out. I would really like to add 20"/35" setup on my truck NOW, but I've been holding off until I put on my 6" lift.

The only reason I ask is because I heard that the OME lifts more than the advertised 2.5". I really wanted the OME but I guess it wont work. Does anyone know any good 3" suspension lifts without breaking the bank?

you can do a 3inch leveling kit in the front and im pretty sure 35's will fir .. leveling kit would run you $99 or something.

could also do the toytec 3/1 .. i think its like $299

either should fit 35's

I'm also planning on getting the OME suspension system when the stock stuff wears out. From past experience, the OME will net more than advertised but will eventually settle/break-in to it's advertised lift of 2.5". I'm going to get the heavy duty OME springs in front even though I might not get a winch bumper for awhile.

If you go with the 3" Truxxx I know 35's will fit.

Frag Master your truck looks awesome. I have some questions though. I know those tires are a bit noisy but how is your ride with the leveling kit? Is it bouncy or rough? Has Toyota given you any bother with the lift or do you think they will? Thanks...

Thanks for your comments and good questions, same ones I had when I began this journey.
The Toyo M/T's are noisier than stock tires thats for sure but not too bad. I'm not an off-roader so I have never run a mud tire before but I can tell you from quite a few other threads that most all comments are they are a good choise for someone who is looking for an agressive look but doesn't want the typical noise you can get from a mud tire. I cannot tell the difference in the feel of the ride, still feels good.

The Truxxx leveling kit does not effect the ride as it is designed to fit over the coil and not compress them. You definately feel like your in a taller Truck as the tires and kit have added 4inches to the heigth of the truck.

I just contacted my Toyota dealership about getting my VSC reset as I now have 35" tires and level kit installed. I told him that when I am going around a turn above 15mph the VSC will kick in. He said that the Tundra does not like Toyo M/t's and that is a problem he has seen many times, reseting it will help but may not eliminate this problem. That was news to me as I have not heard that from any of the forums, but I will be posing the question to everyone. If he is right then it would be a pain in the a$$ as it goes off frequently.
Hope that helps.

Thats strange about your VSC problem my truck sits 12" and my VSC has never come on. Call some more dealers bro some service tech's are smarter about the new Tundra's than others.

I was just measuring my truck today for the OME, front only. Let us know how it goes if you try it. Adding the rears is expensive, the front is a decent price. I thought about doing the front and adding a 1" block in the rear if it sat too high.......I would rather spend the 600+ bones on 1/2 of my new wheels.......
