Headlights

Only had my 08 Crewmax for 4 days and already I'm making some very minor mods. I've read some of the post about installing HID's. Im thinking about the McCulloch HID PNP kit for my lo-beams, and PIAA's for my fogs. Do those of you with HID's in your Tundra get a lot of flashes? Has anyone upgraded the stock bulb with a PIAA extreme white plus bulb, and does the PIAA bulb make a difference in comparison to the standard bulb? Lastly, I just want to make sure I have the bulb numbers correct, low beam is H11, hi-beam 9005, and fog is 9144/H10. Thanks

It is relatively easy to aim the lights a bit lower anyway. Everyone says they come aimed a bit on the high side from the factory.

Hey guys, I have another question regarding the McCulloch HID PNP kit. My kit is coming with an additional wiring harness, where if I am not mistaken I need to connect a line directly to the negative battery post. I understand this will allow both HID lights to recieve the same amount of energy, and will both have the same brightness. Did the rest of you use this additional harness, or did you just plug the HID into the trucks OEM harness, and then into the ballast and leave it at that?

I am also going to purchase either Sylvania or PIAA hi-beam bulbs and fog bulbs so at least they will match somewhat to the HID's. What do you think?

Nukedog, I've never heard of HIR bulbs. Are these a new product. I did a google search and only found limited info. Do you have these in your Tundra?

How's it going guys. I installed my McCulloch HID kit for my low beams, and I picked up a pair of PIAA Extreme White Plus bulbs for my hi-beams, but PIAA doesn't have the 9145 fog bulb yet. Does anyone have another suggestion for a fog bulb other then another HID Kit?

i ordered the nokya 7000k fog light bulbs for the fogs soon after i got the truck(ordered online but forgot where),looks pretty good with the HID's on.as for the extra harness they supply/sell,i would use it,the kit i bought had an option for a relay harness that connects to the battery to keep the power draw to a minimum on the stock headlight wiring.
