Turning Off your Maintenance Require light

Hello I guess this goes out to anyone who didn’t know this like I. I had my oil changed at Jiffy lube (Didn’t have time to go to the dealer) As I read from other posts the filter isn’t easy to get, they get them right from Toyota. So the light came on right at 5000 even after the oil change. So I called Toyota and asked for the code. Guy told me to turn the ignition key on but do not start the truck. Put the odometer to trip A. Then turn the key off. After you turn the key off hold the odometer button down then turn the key back on while still holding down the button. When you turn the key back on you will see a series of lights (horizontal bars in your odometer window) flash down to no lights then the maintenance light should turn off.
