i'm averaging 15.7mpg mixed in town and freeway driving. Just added a Lear Shell, that seemed to help. Need to post pics of it.

I'm getting 16.5 around town. I seem to have a problem on the interstate. I took a trip to Tennessee when the truck had 4000 miles on it, running about 80 and only got about 15 mpg. I have never seen a vehicle get less mileage on the road than around town.

I took it to the dealer for the 5000 mile oil change and asked about checking the computer. They said they ran a diagnostic on it and found no problems but did not reflash the computer. I have since taken some shorter trips runnning 70 and 75 and got maybe 16 mpg. I have an aluminum bed cover but no other modifications. I am turnning about 2100 RPMs at 80mph, is that about right?

I have tried premium and plus fuel, they may have helped by a few tenths but nothing significant.

Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions?

The truck is a '07 2wd Crewmax, 5.7

Whish mine got that good of mileage. 11.8 in town 15 highway. That's driving it like a granny to. If I put my foot down it's even worse. Starting to think I should have purchased a diesel.

Doing that this week. It better work or I am going to be pissed. My wifes 08 Camry doesn't get anywhere near the mileage they said it would either. It gets 18 to 20 at best and it has been to the dealer 12 times in 4 months. It's getting ready to be traded off on another brand.

Oil density has to do with mileage.
Actually tells you right in the manual!
I get 16 miles out of a gallon.
Also the mileage get better once you pass the 10k!
My guess is, that the truck is "worked in" then!

Yes Procomp. I have the Stage II and the ride is great. Basically the same as before just up in the air. They say use 35's but 37's fit too.

Speaking of Gas Mileage, does anyone know why the Crewmax 4x4 Limited 5.7L V8 has slightly lower posted miles per gallon than the sr5 and tundra base models in that same engine and body style?

I should of said. I drive 70 miles round trip a day at speeds around 73mph and I use cruise control 95% of the time. City driving I get roughly 15 mpg. Thats with my 08 CM 4x4. My gas light comes on when I have driven close to 330 miles. I'm barely putting 20 gallons of gas each fill up.
