Let my dealership "wash" my truck

Went in for scheduled maintenance and they asked if I wanted them to wash it. Sure I said.

Don't do it. The whole truck looks like this now. It was cleaner going in.

And most likely has some scratches that you have yet to see

I've seen the shoprags the washmonkeys use to clean our trucks at my dealership, so NOBODY washes it but me.

Mistake.

Hey, at least they asked you before just doing it.

Have you re-washed it? Like someone already said, I bet there are some scratches hidden in there. For sure a ton of swirls, if you care about that sort of thing (I do, so I'm the only one to ever wash my truck).

But probably would have used kitchen soap, stripped any wax and dried out his trim.....but probably would have looked cleaner.

My son's HS track team did a car wash and I provided a hose, some buckets, and some nice wash mits...then I look over by the other supplies brought by other kids and see 2 Costco sized bottles of Palmolive liquid dish soap. SMH.

I've had the dealer car wash experience also. They now put the "do not wash" cardboard sign on the dash when it goes in for service.

This is how it should have been done:

While fun to watch, I know for a fact the tundra would be missing paint everywhere after that. My tundra is scratched to hell from a hose rubbing against it while I was washing it. Those chicks had their shoes all over those cars, bathing suits with metal, and jewelry. damn thin paint.

With that said, I'd probably still let them wash my truck
