My 08 Titan vs. My 07 Tundra Did my own set of Tests.

Good morning. I purchased a 07 Tundra Double Cab SR5 TRD Off Road 5.7 IForce for my wife( thats what I told her) in Oct. for 30,500, whith a sticker of 35,470. I recently traded my 04 Titan work truck for an 08. The titan I purchased a few days ago is a XE 2wd Preffered Package King Cab 5.6L, it stickered at 26,200 and I paid 19,500. OK hear it goes 0-60 side by side Tundra wins by a half a trunk length. 0-100 Tundras wins by 1 truck length. I have a 21' center console boat, I hooked it up to my titan and hooked the neighbors 20' bowrider to the tundra. Ran em side by side 0-60, tundra wins by half a truck, switched boats and the same result(guess the boats were pretty equal in weight). Loaded both trucks with 75 semi damp 4x4x8s, tundra squated slightly more then the titan. 60-0 brake test side by side, tundra stopped half maybe 2 foot shorter then the titan, tried that 3 times. Smoother ride goes to the 4wd tundra over the 2wd titan. Interior I believe most would think the tundra would win. Exterior the same. Turning radius, Tundra definetely wins. Fuel economy pretty equal, edge goes to the tundra. Problems with tundra so far, vibration in driveline when accelerating in low gears. Problems with titan so far, rough idle. Final result if I had a choice between the two trucks, I would defenitely take the tundra. If I had a choice between the tundra and an equaly equiped titan, I would definetely take the tundra. If had to rebuy at 30,500 on the tundra, and 25,000 on a Titan SE 4x4 King Cab that I was going to buy before I went back to another work truck, I would defenitely buy the Titan.

Can't say I'm surprised that the tundra won that battle...

Ditto. If Toyota knew that it would've beat the competition in those tests, I don't think they would've advertised them
