Coolant/ Antifreeze questions

I noticed my antifreeze was very low today.. With that said does anyone else notice that they are using an abnormal amount of antifreeze.. I looked all over and have no leaks???

I was told that you can only use Toyota Antifreeze ( Pink/Red ) is this correct? I have read several sights that says they use a special formulated freeze and that you should not mix with any other freeze??? Anyones thoughts..

Toyota uses there own version of the orange Coolant, I recommend you just use that. I have almost 10,000 miles on my 5.7 and no issues with coolant loss. How many miles you got

no, i let my truck warm up a bit to. I would top it off and then keep an eye on it.

It is a possibility that the motor just needed a bit more coolant and it was sucked out of the overflow tank, this can happen. If this is the case you should be fine after you top it off. If you wanna save some cash, just go get some Distilled water from the store (distilled has no minerals, minerals eat up metal, it what we use in our race cars as well), use the Distilled water to top off the overflow tank and observe it for a few days to see if it goes down.
