It's a Hurst 4 speed, 4:10 gears. If you click on my web site link you can see the restoration work it took to take it from beast to best! It was a 400 CID block that we stroked to 470 CID. With the stock 14 inch tires, it is tough to hook up. I would bet my new Tundra could get it at least to the 1/8th. I bought a G-Timer from Escort so when I get the Tundra, I plan to do some testing.

Pigman, I checked out you website, and the RR is awsom. That is the same car (make, model, engine, Trans and color). Of the one I passed up. I was home on leave in 1982 to Colton Ca and my buddie had a next door neighbor who wanted to sell it for $1000.00 they had just rebuilt the engine did not want to put any more money into it. Funny what we remember, If I had only kept the cars from my youth. SS 396 Chevell, 72 Rancho GT, 67 Belverder II, 69 Charger 440 R/T, 69 Cougar XR7 71 Charger SE,67 camaro x2 and a 68 camaro to just name a few.

Ya .. know what you mean .. try it with your speakers on full power. And that video was shot with my little Sony 5 mega pix on the mpeg mode. Not exactly high tech equipment!

I don't plan on using my Tundra when I get it to race anyone, but from what I've heard on here, the Tundra's would make a great race truck especially for all the teens in my area that drive what they want to call "tricked" out Honda cars, that I can outrun in my Jeep.

I love the new Tundra's and can't wait to get mine hopefully within the next week or so.

I was talking with a friend the other day and she stated "you know what when you bought truck you did not care about the HP or if it was fast". She was right. I have a neighbor with a dodge daytona and he sayes "I'll smoke ya", I know he won't but I'll play nice, until its time to not play nice any more then I will smoke him. This will allow him to become more full of Sh1t and he will get even more upset when I do smoke him.
