ANNOYING!!! Rattle in the Cab

So I'm driving home from Palm Springs the other night and I here this annoying rattle on the passenger side of the cab, inside, front. I check it at the gas station, thinking maybe it is something in one of the glove boxes, but there is nothing but a few papers in there.

It's been bugging me all week, it only happens when its a bit bumpy and it is so annoying. Pretty sure it's inside, positive on the passenger side front. Almost sound like the speaker on the dash came loose.

Anyone else have this issue?

Was there anyone in the passenger seat?? Mine does the same thing when somebody is sitting in that seat. I had my wife drive and I sat over there. If I shifted my weight back and forth I could reproduce it at will. I haven't been able to figure it out yet but I really haven't had a chance to get at it. It is definately coming from my passenger seat. May be something similar in your truck.

I have the same problem. When the speaker in the front passenger door hits certain low notes is when it is the worse. I too, thought the speaker was loose. I pulled the door cover off, but could not find anything loose. I am starting to wonder if some type of insulation was left out or if the door speaker is bad. Keep me posted with what you find out.

I had the same problem that showed up when it started to get cold out. I took it to the dealer and they put additional foam around the speaker in the door and that vibration stopped but still had a rattle when driving over bumps. After playing around for days, I found that my rattle was the dash. I wedged a small piece of rubber between the window and the dash just tight enough to apply a little preasure. The rattle dissappeared.

i have a dash rattle only when cold on the right passenger side. it goes away quickly when the cab warms up a little. i just figured expansion/contraction it just makes me let it warm up and enjoy some tunes lmao

dash rattles

I have had many dash issues, been to the dealer four times, and I'm not happy. The dealer has ripped my dash out three times and it shows it! The center grill area rattle is fixed with adhesive foam, but now I have a rubbing plastic sound probably from the new radio(warranty) install. Lot's of other rattles/noises enhanced by the colder weather. It shouldn't be like this, but it is what it is, and I have accepted this fact. Hearing these noises drives me crazy too, but when I get in my old '95 Chev plow truck the Tundra rattle/noises don't seem so bad.

I've noticed in just the last two months my right side passenger door speaker vibrates when songs hit their low bass tones. I've noticed it more lately with a lot of the Christmas songs playing on the radio. It all depends on the song. Some music doesn't cause it at all. It's just those very low tones. It's annoying as hell! I haven't looked into the problem yet, but I am under the impression it may actually be a faulty speaker. What's even more weird now that everyone is talking about it, I never noticed it until the weather turned cold here. I just hit 8000 miles and it probably has only occurred in the last 1000. When I take it in for my 10,000 mile service, I think I will mention it to my dealer. If any one else discovers the absolute cause and cure, please post!

I found my rattle was the seat belts in the rear not being replaced in the holders. Imagine the looks on peoples faces when I asked them to not wear the seatbelts. The buckle was rattling against the wall of the truck.

Yes its not in the front but it drove me nuts!

I drove home in my CM 08' 4x4 2 days ago, totally stoked! I did have a rattling (sounded like a loose or bouncing bolt) around the defrost vent in front. Weirdly enough it went away yesterday afternoon. Then this morning I got a vibration sound coming from what seems to be under the glove box, it got worse as the day went on. I have it scheduled to go to the dealer Friday and I'll keep you updated. I did check the link for tundrasolutions.com above and that guy went into major detail to finally fix his noise. We'll see..............

Heys guys still have my rattle on the passenger side when the radio hits certain low notes. If the radio is off, there aren't any rattles. Any suggestions? Thanks
