Heat Vents
Can anyone with an 08 DC SR5 tell me if a little bite of heat comes out your top vents even when you have it on down only? My new truck puts out a little bite when its on floor only and I was wondering if thats true with others before I take it in. The only time that it doesn't is when its on full defrost. If thats normal then I won't worry about it

When you mean top vents, I presume you mean the air conditioning vents? I've noticed my 07 Crewmax blows out a very small amount of heated air from the air conditioning vents despite having it set to blow out on the floor only. I think this is normal. I have an older Camry that does the same thing. Sometimes it's annoying. The other day, it was bugging me so I just closed the air conditioning vent and problem solved!

My dad owned a 92 Camry growing up and he currently still drives his 97 4Runner. My 07 Tundra is my first Toyota, but I can honestly say that all three had this same thing. I assume it's just something Toyota does, intentionally or not, but I vividly remember his Camry doing it. It's just about impossible to stop air circulation in a Toyota.
Of course, you could just turn on the circulation button, then turn off your AC/heat. That'll stop it entirely.
