For my '14 model, the owners manual states to use: "Toyota Super Long Life Coolant” or a similar high quality ethylene glycol-based non-silicate, nonamine, non-nitrite and non-borate coolant with longlife hybrid organic acid technology"
For the U.S.A.:
“Toyota Super Long Life Coolant” is pre-mixed with 50% coolant and 50% deionized water.
Which ever year I would be sticking with what Toyota recommends.
An older guy at work that moved here from cali brought in his ranger the other day, wanted to check it. It was only good to between 0 and 5°... And it was a milky brown color lol. He said that should be good, right? lmfao.
He had that pos brazalian v6 and had mixed coolant and likely blown head gaskets too.
Anyways, I stick with what matches. Most pink color coolants are the same as yota. Dex sucks, just does. Most manufacturers in the power equipment biz that used dex have gone back to just normal green antifreeze as it holds up better and causes less issues.
