I really don't but just thought I would ask if anyone had heard about that. I thought this all sounded kinda funny but I guess when talking to the guy and knowing him pretty much all my life and as long as he has been working there I didn't think his story would be so wacko. But guess I was wrong.

Sounds weird to me if it is true. Why run it all the way from side mirror into truck & to rear view mirror when they could just put it in the rear view mirror to begin with?

Anyway I would tell them who cares. Tow mirrors I'd be using every single day would be used much more than a compass I have never once used. Even if I'd still want the compass I'd get the mirrors and buy a $5 compass from Amazon that's much more fancier.

This is what I was told.

I thought that seemed odd also but I don't know what to think. He told me that what they figured out and took them a while to find it when another truck was in from out of town. I don't know it still doesn't make sense to me and I'm not sure if I believe it. Probably will just end up getting slide over mirrors I have heard good things as long as you get them secured tight.

I thought the compass was located next to the blinker fluid reservoir

I rarely know WTF I'm talking about though, so I would just believe everything that a toyota parts guy tells you
