I thought I would vent about what happened to my truck. I just bought a brand spanking new Tundra crew max last month. I was on my way to work and the roads are iced over, I am waiting for a car to turn and BAM some guy slams into the rear of my truck. Man was I mad; I just rolled over 700 miles on it that day!! Needless to say I wasn’t too nice to the guy but soon calmed down, oh and he was 19 and just got his license that same day. He did not have insurance and the vehicle he was driving was not his. Perfect person to get into a wreck with, the back bumper was bashed into the passenger side of the bed. But long story short my insurance will cover it and he is paying the deductible. I thought I would share my experience with everyone. I’ll try to post pictures of it later.

Umm what about the owner of the vehicle that he was driving ? Does the owner not have insurance on it ? If so then I would go after the owner so your insurance isn't footing the bill. Any ways sorry about your luck glad every one was all right.

^ what he said. As the owner of the other vehichle it is his responsibility to be sure the guy that he let drive has valid insurance, if not he is footing the bill.

Same thing happened to me. Mine was 1 wk old n some girl on a suburban hit the back of the truck, she had a big cow catcher too. It was the back passenger side just like u, it pushed my bumper in to my quarter panel, not bad it was just a scratch in front of the bumper on the quarter panel. New bumper, repaint panel & new trd stick = $1750

I would have told the GF to please turn her head for a few minutes!
WTF is wrong with you? You know how horny pregnant chics are? He should accepted payment from her
Also, similar thing happened to me, not really similar, but same thing.
Bought a brand new 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi in October 2003. In November 2003, we went on a road trip to visit relatives for Thanksgiving. Probably wasnt even 1,000 miles on the truck. I decided to let my wife drive the last 2 hours, cuz I was tired as hell, and wanted a nap. It was night. Sure as shit, I wake up to my wife slamming on the brakes and hitting a GD deer Effed up my grill, pushed one side of the bumper in about 1". THEN, on the way back home from this road trip, some freakin way I hit a BAT! yes, A BAT! Got back home after the road trip, and wanted to look at my broke ass grill again, and sure as shit, there's a damn bat, face planted into my grill...Jesus. Anyway, I fixed the shit myself, didn't call insurance.
Then, in December, I went up to Pittsburgh to visit a buddy. Truck is now 2 months old, with 2-3k miles on it. The fuking transmission blew up in Pittsburgh!!!! (I'm NOT making this shit up, it really happened to me). A dealership in Pitt repaired it, and I came back home 3 days late (that was fun to explain to the boss). But from 2 months old, that truck was always "ruined" to me I went on to own it for another 6 years though.

You know she puts out and can't get her pregnant again.
I don't get people that drive w/o insurance....here the popo have scanners to pick up licence plates for insurance. It's an auto $600 fine for driving w/o any.
Then when you buy insurance you have the option of "underinsured motorist", so if some dumbass doesn't have insurance you are covered...so not only do you have to buy insurance, you have to buy extra incase someone else doesn't buy any....
...so not only do you have to buy insurance, you have to buy extra incase someone else doesn't buy any....
Hmm...sounds similar to my health insurance premiums going up? Coincidence?
That is par for the course....you pay your "fair share", and abide by the law (pay for insurance), and you also have to pay someone elses share, and pay for them to break the law (not having insurance). WTF is new around here? Tired of this shit...jesus.
Here's my question. If I don't pay for insurance, and I crash someone, I get sued. If they (you know who "they" are) don't pay for insurance, and crash someone...nothing happens. WTF?
Same reason I pay taxes....so OTHER people don't have to pay taxes.
Same reason I have to pay daycares, so OTHER people can stay home with their kids.
Same reason I pay full price for groceries, so OTHER people can get better groceries than I can afford, for free.
Same reason I have to pay income tax, property tax, fees..blah blah blah, so OTHER people don't have to pay them...I hate this shit.

Minus the not having insurance I have been that 19 year old Kid. The husband of the lady whose car I hit showed up and chewed me a new asshole. Knowing I deserved it, I sucked it up and took it like a man and learned a lesson about paying a little more attention to what is in front of me.
