^ this and case closed as far as I'm concerned.
my second to last tank was my worst at 13.8 and most recent was 16.2. Driving the same routes and method. I blame a crappy tank of gas. Don't really know why I posted since I own a truck and really only keep track of MPG for potential problemos and crap gas stations.

I find if I poop before I leave the house I get better mileage.

That works for me too....in fact the truck ride height increases by 3" after I am done.
