When researching vehicles, I have come across other forums, A lot of people on the other forums that I have read ( not joined ) seem like a bunch of winey babies that think they know every thing but dont know jack. I joined this forum because when I came across it and read through the posts the people here seemed more knowledgable and are more mature. They also like to have fun. This is by far the best forum out there, at least imho.

Yeah, I'm not biased at all...I've been on forums for all of our previous vehicles (since the invention of such a thing)...Titan, Jeep, Land Rover, Yukon, MDX, Sienna, Tundra, and now Ford. I'm not sure how this forum and its members do such a good job, or if it simply comes down to the quality of the members or the diligence of the moderators, but the vast resources and information & conversation here are unparalleled.
Cool Dudes and Tundra Owners. Coincedence? I don't think so...

Nice rig! I would love another SD, but I just cannot justify that kind of money now with two kids about to be running around here LOL.
Its nice to see that when people leave here they are not degraded like most other forums. I cannot count on two hands and feet how many times I saw threads on another forum for my previous vehicle that when people would post their goodbyes they would get nothing but negative/degrading comments

Alright, I probably won't go...I'll just be here a bit less. As long as y'all don't mind a former owner stalking the site! I haven't made any friends on the other forum anyway...it's just not the same. Plus, I have Dim Sum to ask all of my newbie Ford questions to!
Both myself, Creo, and Trent310 own new model diesels and we have out own support groups .
I still play around here. The Ford sites aren't that much fun and you have to deal with some serious brand bias that I don't enjoy. I'm pretty open minded on vehicles as long as its not Chinese or European.

You can use 15-40 in warm weather (40F I think). I use 5-40 M1 in my truck and a lot of guys use the Shell Rotella T5 in their trucks. You can also use 10-30 and that is the factory fill (FYI). 15-40 will work, but it will decrease your fuel economy as I've noticed. The Vegas dealer here uses 15-40 and I had to use the dealer the last time b/c all of my stuff was in storage from a military move. I personally would use 5-40. The manual explains each oil weight and when you can use it.
Have you read anything about diesel additives / water in fuel / draining of your water separator?

When guys leave and say things like..."I hated this Tundra because blah blah blah and my Ford is so much better because of blah blah blah.."... we give them hell
But, I think for the most part, if you leave the big 3 and go to "another" brand, you'll get razzed. Going from Toyota to Ford/GM/dodge, etc, you won't get beat up on too much, but you might get something like "good luck with that transmission" if you go to a Dodge. lol.
Anyway, when I left the dodge forums, I don't think I did a "good-bye" thread

Congrats on the truck. I was looking at the Super Duty's for a long time but just couldn't justify the need. Sweet truck and have fun modding that beast!

Congrats on the new truck, no sense leaving us. I think we like different opinions. If you needed the size, payload and power you did great. That too is a beast. Enjoy, stick around and keep us informed, good or bad. Granted if bad we might laugh and chuckle a little.
PS. I getting a Jeep Liberty (I think) thats what it is. Work SUV, so same difference.

Well, I did it. Bought the F350 on Friday afternoon. Tundra is sitting out front, looking sad and depressed. She knows her fate will soon be sealed.
Congrats on your new rig. No doubt your Tundra will find happiness with it's new owner. When I traded my 4Runner for my Tundra the 4Runner looked sad & depressed too. That did not last very long since she went to a new owner in only a couple of days after I picked up the Tundra.
Enjoy the F350. A friend of mine has had a couple of them and swears by them. His first F350 gave it's life to save his when he was involved in a serious accident involving two tractor trailers. The accident gave new meaning to the term "threading the needle". His F350 is a beast towing his 40 foot car trailer with two cars in it. Took a trip with him once which I will not forget.
Stop by here from time to time. Members of this forum are some of the best I have seen. We don't get too bogged down in Kool-Aid drinking, blind devotion to our trucks (ok, not all the time, LOL) and the hatred and bias that some truck forums have and breed. That is what makes this forum so great.
Thanks John...I'm sure we'll be shooting soon anyway, no matter what I drive!

I went to the outdoor range a couple weeks ago to try out my Sig p239. Great little gun. Love it.
Let me know when you have some time. I'll be on vacation in Thailand for 3 weeks starting next week but anytime after that. If your Ford happens to break down as they usually do, I can tow you home..I still have the Tundra .... just kidding of course..

if it weren't for the rediculous prices of both diesel and gas in our country, i would never ever have stopped driving a diesel...
i still miss the landcruiser i sold a year ago, diesels are unbeatable when it comes to torque and lots of torque..!! did i mention torque..??
i tow a lot and the tundra is great in doing so... but... if diesel were the same price as propane, i know for sure that Super Duty would have been a very serious candidate to follow up the landcruiser...
stick around and keep us posted, you know this is your forum-family, don't you..!!
