Anyone Consider Trading Their Tundra On A 2013 Raptor SuperCrew?
Just went with a buddy who has new-truck fever, and he ended up trading in his Range Rover and bought a 2013 Raptor SuperCrew. I have to say that I am really impressed with that truck, not only for the suspension and looks, but also for the infotainment system.
I really like my Tundra, but it seems that new-truck fever may be contagious! Talk me off the ledge please!

if you can swing the extra cost, do it!!! Raptors are awesome
I think that will end up being what keeps the new-truck fever in check. $53,890 sticker (pretty much loaded) and dealers are not coming off sticker due to supply and demand.

I drove one before buying the Tundra. It was ok... heavy and slow, mpg were way worse, try to do some semi hardcore offroading and it'll break, they look pretty decent though. The 13s get anything much different than the 11s I drove?

Do not mention his name here. He spits on us and talks crap and you're directing people to him from our site? I don't think so. I know you're neutral and that's fine, but please do not mention him here.

In 2WD mode, the Raptor (4.10 rear end) did not feel much slower than my Tundra (2WD CrewMax, 5.7L, 4.30 rear end) based on the ever-so-accurate butt-o-meter. MPG is definitely worse (I think it's rated 11/16), and the tow rating is 8,000 lbs versus 9,000+ for my Tundra.
As for what you get for the $53,890 sticker on the 2013 my buddy bought, versus the 2011 models, I'm not really sure. Here is a breakdown of the sticker price:
Base MSRP = $46,240
Destination = $995
Package 800A = Included
Package 801A = $4,760
Power Moon Roof = $995
Integrated Tailgate Step = $375
Front/Rear Camera System = $525
Here are the key items you get with Package 801A:
- HID headlamps
- Heated Side Mirrors (package 800A already made them power-folding)
- 10-way power seats with memory
- Sony 10-speaker audio system with HD radio
- MyFord Touch
- Navigation w/ SiriusXM Traffic & Travel Link
- 8" LCD screen in center stack and 4" LCD in gauge cluster
- Power-adjustable pedals w/ memory
- Rear view camera
- Universal garage door opener
- Power tilt & Telescope steering wheel
- Integrated brake controller
- Remote start
This sticker price for 2013 models seems to be what most dealers have on their lots.
