Just pulled out my bedrug this weekend to clean it and the bed and I have the rust in the corners. Glad I saw this thread on the TSB. Off to see how much of a fight it will be with the dealer to get it done.
if you fall under the mileage/year requirements you should be fine, just take a copy of the tsb with ya

My truck gets dropped off at Toyota on Monday to have the bed replaced. they are providing a loaner car and I had zero push back from them to get it replaced. As soon as i get the truck back it is going to get a spray in bed liner installed. Now my only concerns is in the paint, quality and match. I absolutely love that Toyota has been so good to work with!
Yesterday has been a week without my truck, I stopped by to see how it is coming along, when I talked to the service guy he said they haven't started yet, they are still waiting on parts.... I'm not a mechanic, but I skimmed through the TSB and thought the only thing needed was a new bed. I guess I need to read it again. I asked them to check out some clunking or hard shifting from a stop at times since it was just sitting there. I sent them the TSB on that too. So hopefully the truck will be good as new when i get it back.
I will have to find it again, I get it alot when backing out of my drive way, and shifting back to drive. Or sometimes just putting it in gear when leaving work. I saw it yesterday. I have it saved to my home PC, I will post it again when I get home. Its for a tranny issue or torque converter.
ahh nm, while searching for the TSB I came across a few threads that were describing exactly what we were describing, its the ABS system checking itself.
I just hope my odds are bad but I have mentioend this to two guys. Both checked and both had the rust. The darker colors make it a lot harder to see. One of them replaced his bed this week, the other decided to trade it.

Is it the dealership doing the work or a private body shop?
This is by far the largest warranty job I have ever had done on any truck in the last 20 years. Sadly its not the best quality and can only be as good as the shop doing the work and in my case they just are not capable of doing any better. That being said I will stick with Toyota for my next truck for the fact that they fixed the truck with out any headache from them. Everything else about the truck has been great. In my opinion its the best truck on the road and I have owned all other brands and had plenty of issues with them as well.

Its being done by Toyota. Which is why i don't understand why its taking them so long. I just better be right, no excuses for a half ass job when they have had it this long.
