I'm wanting to buy a new Tundra, but I don't like any of the colors! I currently have the Blue Streak Metallic, which they don't offer anymore. I want my same truck, just in a 2012 model. It's ridiculous that you can't special order one from the factory. This day in age, it's all about customization and being able to get what you WANT. Paying $35,000 to $40,000 for a new truck and not being able to get the color you want ticks me off.
Ford is the only vehicle manufacturer that currently offers a truck in a brighter blue color. Even though I'm not a fan of Ford, I want my dam Blue truck. It's a shame that I'm having to seriously look at a Ford Raptor just to get my blue truck!
Not like it's going to make a difference, but I sent Toyota an email explaining my situation. I hope they step up their game in the future! To me, a Toyota can't be beat, but I'm not paying that kind of money and end up having to dislike the looks of the truck I'm driving.

I thought about that, but to me, when you have a vehicle painted, it's never 100% right (or as good as it is from the factory). Plus, that means I'm going to have to spend that much more after I buy the dam truck!

I like to stay up-to-date and get a new truck every 2-3 years. I'd rather not run a truck into the ground and have to fork out the full price when it comes time for a new one.

You talk about pricing and money but you decided a 50k dollar mall crawler is the way to go? This is just too funny. Get a lightly used 2010 or 2011 that is still on the lot. They don't make that color caus it doesnt sell well so why should they keep making it if only every 1 in 20 tundra owner buys it? You can get a new truck and have a killer paint job done with whatever color blue you desire on it for cheaper than what a raptor is going to run you.

You would get along with the guy who was ready to blow the Tundra off because of the oil filter design. If you are so fired up over something like this you should definitely get a domestic. They will build you a vehicle in any configuration and color you could hope for because they care more about how happy you are with it when you check it out in the showroom than about how happy you are with it 10 years down the line.

I'm a guy who likes blue also but Toyota has been coming out with lets say crappy or lame color choices lately anyway do what JC said.
I'm going to have my Tundra painted just waiting on the current paint job to start looking bad.
Mine is going to be painted Toyota Speedway blue seen on my old X-Runner below.

The cost of the vehicle isn't the point. My point is, you should be able to get whatever you want these days. I can get a laptop in any color I want, but I have a handful of choices for a $40K truck?

I don't keep my trucks 10 years. I buy new ones every 2-3 years.

Try buying a Platinum...you only get four color choices! I wanted a pyrita mica or barcelona red. I wasnt willing to give up my cooled seats though for a color.
