Have a 2006 double cab SR5, automatic transmission, with 180000 on it. Took it in to have frame inspected for recall and they claimed when they got it in it to move it the 'check engine' light was on. Wasn't on when I parked it though. Anyway when I picked it up it shifted hard into reverse and was wanting to slip just a bit in drive. They reset the engine light but it came on before I got home. Doesn't slip once you are moving, just when you first shift into drive and take off. Any clues? Haven't gotten a code off of it yet - but the dealer thought the light was on because the gas cap was loose - where they pulled the bed - but his computer said 'trans' - but he didn't give me a code. I've never had a moments problem before - except occasionally with the 4wd not wanting to engage on the first try.
