stay safe! BAF & KAF make me sick to my stomach with how not even te simplest task cannot be completed by a contract bid, then assigning a contractor to watch te local workers do shoddy work, but that's pretty much all over Afghanistan. I got stuck at rotary for 5 days bc my ring route flight was canceled due to bad weather, so what I saw of KAF I didn't care for bc I didn't stray far from the terminal with all the equipment I had, plus the chance to jump on any bird out of there kept me glued to my bench

Welcome aboard brother. Kandahar isn't as bad as Leatherneck. I spent a year there during OEF 10-1. Hang in there buddy once you checked with 1st MarDiv you will come right back to the same $hit hole

Another Devil Dog here. I served from 88-92. I am gulf war vet with many issues. Just got 100% disabled couple years ago. I was a 0311 grunt also a 3 pump chump to Okinawa, Camp Hansen. Its true, you become a gym freak or an alcholic in Okinawa. I was with 2/3 out of Kaneohe Bay. I have to say I miss the Corps so much. Tried to reenlist back in the day but couldnt pass physical. Broke my back and got alot of intestinal problems and got hit in the head by a steel beam from an explosion at Kuwait Int. Airport. Havent been right since. Wasnt for the helmet they said I would be dead. Oh well thats life. Enough about me..Semper Fi Devil Dogs and I thank everyone else for serving our country.

Hey Sergeant, WTF is wrong with you talking to a CSM like that? Don't the Army teach you to respect your elder back in the 60's
