Bluetooth, Waze, & SiriusXM

My current setup is listening to XM radio and I have my phone connected via Bluetooth. I'd like Waze to interrupt the music just like a phone call would but that doesn't seem to happen. Is there a setting I'm not seeing or is it impossible to have the truck speakers play something from the phone unless the truck in on the Bluetooth input?

I too use Waze and have learned this with both my Tundras. If you start Bluetooth music like Spotify or Pandora and then open Waze it will play clearly over the music. If you start Waze first it will show that you are calling yourself - my phone number shows on screen and the sound is horrible.

Therefore I open Spotify when I get in the truck and then fire up Waze. XM and Waze don't work well together.

Hope this helps.

If I put the truck on "Bluetooth mode" it will play SiriusXM & Waze together properly if both are coming from my phone. If I have the truck on "SiriusXM mode" my Bluetooth connection does not allow my phone to play aby sound through the truck speakers. This causes problems with Voxer, Facebook messenger audio, and any other phone apps that use audio.

So the only way to hear navigation through the truck's speakers is to have it in "bluetooth mode"?
