My xm signal on my new 1794 fades in and out at times. Is this common? Seems like it does it more when I am headed east. I have never had sat radio so don't know if the is common.
I don't know if it's common, but in the "old days" when satellite radio was new and we had the magnetic antennas, we would have to move them depending on which direction we were going. I forget which side was which, but when we went one direction across the country we would mount the antenna on one side of the truck, then when we turned around and went back, we had to move it to the other side to keep the signal strong.
If you have anything blocking a southern view then you could possibly lose service. In our area the southern view gets blocked by road cuts and you lose reception until you clear the obstruction.
