Front axle/diff grinding??

i put a 3" camburg lift on my truck (2003 tundra) about 8 months ago. i drove about 10k before installing the diff drop kit. by the time i got the diff drop kit on i had grease all over the place. now, i have a grinding noise every time i reverse. today i put my truck in 4 wheel drive and it sounded like a monkey wrench in a garbage disposal. the inboard boots are torn open now and there is play in the axles. whats the deal? will i need to replace the axles?

right on. i will search for threads pertaining to cv replacements...
do you think its possible for the diff to be damaged from this? or will replacing the cv's correct the problem?

I would thing the diff would be ok. Try yotatech, or ttora. Make sure it in the CVs so you don't spend cash on parts you don't need. Also Downey Offroad had high angle CV boots that I had put on my '89 Toyota. don't know if they still have them. Good luck
