4" lift

Does anyone have a pure performance 4" lift installed and have pics or know where i can find pics? I also cant find their website...

I like that lift as it provides Upper A arms to accomodate for the tall coil spacers but on 4x4's you need to keep an eye on the CV boots due to the added angle. Toyota CV joints can handle a pretty good angle but the boots are another story. I also like the fact that it uses shackles rather than blocks!

Dez,
Didn't somebody just order this Kit? I have question if you put on a 3/1 leveling kit do you think its worth putting on upper A control arms like camburg for alligment/geomety

An Upper A arm set up from either "Camburg" or "Total Chaos" is a good thing to add after lifing. It keeps the front end relaxed and yes helps with the alignment. When you add lift to a vehicle it pushes the front end up while taking the upper A arm with it and forcing angle on the A arm and pressure or pulling on the spindle and ball joint. A longer travel A arm makes up for that angle and relieves that pressure or pulling. It also allows more wheel travel. Here are my Total Chaos witch are exactly like Camburg.

Thanks, Dez for confirming my thoughts on the upper control arm's when doing a lift or leveling kit. I just look at my last post boy did I misspell few words. Sorry Guys for the misspelling. I'm @ the fire station today had to run an auto accident when I was trying to finish the post.

Glad I could help and sorry if my explaination sounded confusing but it was the best way I could figure to describe things. Just be sure if you go with aftermarket uppers that you keep the uni-ball joint lubricated after every wash. I use a white lithium grease from a spray can, it's great lubrication and sticks to polished surfaces like the ball joints. Firefighter! Keep up the good work!

Dez, you sound like a knowledgeable guy, can you explain to me the benifits of running an aftermarket coilover for lift vs. a block on the top of the factory coilover? I do understand the UCA. And also should i run A 2.0 or 2.5 coilover? I drive 70% highway and 30% offroad.

It's a matter of preference actually, the coil spacer was designed for a quick inexpensive front end lift that maintains the factory ride and that's exactly what a lot of people want. The aftermarket coilovers like mine are for someone that wants performance out of their front end!

Are the aftermarket coilovers real stiff? Or do they ride fairly smooth on the small stuff and on the highway?

I made sure I chose the ones I wanted and went with 700lb Eibach's. My front end is super plush and with the turn of the spanners the front end can be stiffened up or made softer. This will also lift the front end so there's a fine line when choosing the right coil springs. Ltengine110, another firefighter on the forum, nice! I'm a FF/emt here in central florida. Im currently looking at the TopGun leveing kit. Any good/bad input on them anyone?

If ANYONE buys this (the 4 inch kit from top gun) kit let me know how you like it and please post pictures. I am very intrested in this kit, but i would like someone to tell me how they like it before i buy it.

Hi brother Blklizard1, There is a few FF on this forums. I work in the Ft Lauderdale area but Live in West Palm Beach. There is a lot guys on this site that have the Top Gun 2.5 leveling kit and they like it.. Personaly I like CCMOFFROAD 3"/1" leveling kit. Be safe
