Types of winches ? anybody have pics?
Just wondering if anyone has put on a winch on the 07 Tundra?
I live in Kamloops (Canada) which is off roading heaven but in the spring the toughest of toughest trucks can get stuck. Any suggestions ...? Thanks in advance.... Cheers |

Check out the Warn Transf4mer winch/grille guard combo. It'll prolly run ya a steep price for both but the grille guard itself isn't too bad (not as stout as my Ranch Hand but it's much more stout than Westins and the like).
I have not yet seen a pic of the Transf4mer on a Tundra but would like to. -rockstate |

That winch bumper look very nice but the manufacturer say that need some front suspension improvement to be installed. It means that is very heavy.
I'm waiting for some front winch bumper that can work with my 3" lift kit. In some other post some manufacturer was requesting some opinions for a nice lokking front bumper by I dont know wath happen with this project... Someone know???

Superwinch, better reliability & construction, they use larger diameter wire ropes, better gear ratios, less amp draw & they put thimbles on their wire ropes.
If you decide to switch the wire rope to synthetic to save on weight, I recommend these guys. 4X4 Winch Lines at Winchline.com: Winch Line,Winch Ropes, Recovery Gear, Tow Rope, Synthetic Winch Line I run them on my Tundra and my rock crawler. I'm pretty sure whatever winch and bumper you get , you'll need to beef up the front suspension .
