Well we've talked about this before on another post and since then I've done some research and found that there is more bad things to say about blocks than shackles. Blocks apply a lot of force to the leafs and will cause spring wrap and or sagging. Shackles are a little like a body lift in the rear and will do less damage if any.

You might lose some flex with that shackle, because it will be shorter.

I believe you're right, that is if the leaf eye needs to stretch beyond the stock position to meet the shackle.

Man, I have always heard the exact opposite.
Axle wrap is caused by the use of shackles because they change the geometry and pressure put on the leafs and cause them to flatten out. This weakens the leafs allowing them to flex backwards and the axle to wrap.

Blocks won't cause that. They just lift the leaf up and the same pressure/tension is on them as from the factory.

I wouldn't use shackles without also useing an add a leaf to strengthen up the leaf and keep it curved upward.

Is somthing different on the Tundra?? I know I am new here and always looking to learn.
