bfg 315s-18 -- tire pressure -- rubbing??
Hey guys & gals -- ive finally shredded my trd bfgs. I have an 07 trd 4x4 double cab.
want to buy a set of BFG A/T's 305/65/18. have a few ?'s what tire pressures are you running with these tires? is anybody running these tires without a lift? any rubbing? what have these tires done to your mpg? im getting about 15.7 in town (mostly highway). thanks for your input. going to san felipe soon with a 27' trailer and need new shoes soon! tommy

not sure exactly where we are staying. my sister in law found the place. ive never been. know we are staying on the beach.

I’ve got them on mine…. I can’t comment on the pressure… whatever standard is… I did have them installed just before my leveling kit went on and they rubbed a little on the skid plate at full turns… very simple fix though… your mileage will go down slightly – they are bigger/heavier… on the bright side – your ride will be noticeably better…..

revived -- are you running stock rims? thx -- i'm concerned about the rim width. discount tire told me bfg recommends 8.5-11" wide rims for their 305s.

It's pushing it, but yes they are the TRD 18" wheels.... 305/65/18's is actually one of the more popular choices... Here is a pic.....

I ended up getting the BFG AT KO 285-65-18. I got them for $1069 out the door at Fletchers (they matched Costco's price). Much stiffer sidewall and aggressive tread compared to BFG tires that came with TRD package.
No rubbing, no skid plate trimming required. Running the stock tire pressures for now. Has anybody already played with these BFG AT's and tire pressures?
