offroad tires

I've taken my truck twice offroad. I have the TRD BFG 18" tires. I'm starting to rip some big chunks out of the rear tires.

Anybody upgrade to All-Terrain tires? What brand? size?

thanks,

tom

Hands down BFG AT KO. Great on the street, desert, snow, rocks, sand, and so on. As far as a all around tire its my choice.

off road tires

BFG's AT are the way to go for me..I've had them on all my trucks and they never let me down once. I had them on a 78 IH Scout II, 79 ford f150, 94 and 98 dodge ram diesels, 2000 Ford Expedition. These tires held up everywhere...mud,snow, sand, sharp pointy rocks Well worth the money.

I agree. I'm a big fan of BFG AT KO, but they don't come in this size.

Has anybody put BFG AT KO tires on? What size???

+1 for bfg KO. Im not sure whats the tallest size you get fit on the stock wheel without lifting. I have a 3" lift just wasting to be put on and I'll probably try to squeeze 33" tires.

I love Cooper tires, reasonable price, great performance, local dealer is a real good guy. Currently have 2 sets of Coopers on the 3 vehicles we have, will convert the 3rd one soon.

is anybody running the BFG AT Ko LT285-65-18s? Does the TPMS still work? The max pressure on these bad boys is 80lbs. Not sure what pressure you would really run at?

I ordered the BFG A/T's 305/65/18. They are a 4 week backorder. Even tirerack.com has them on backorder. I just went to NTB to order them.

biggest tires that dont rub?

Anyone know what size tires you can fit on the 20" rims? I want BFG's but the tire height is not tall enough. I mean that the rubber part is too short. They look like low riders with mud treds. Anyone have big tires without a lift?

Romiezeus -- please keep us updated. We want details. How did the ride change? Bed bounce change? How far off is the speedometer?

thanks,

tom

Where did you get your lift kit? I'm looking at a lift kit by toytec is supposed to be a 3" inch lift in the front and 1" in the back for about $309.00 including s/h.

I willing to bet that the bed bounce and ride will not change at all, since or only going up 1.6" on the tire. and according to the caculations the speedo will be 4.7% faster. so when it's saying 60 mph you'll actually be doing 62.8mph
