What's up with the 4WLO

I could not get mine in Lo for nothing!

I had trouble too, until I RTFM.

You have to be fully stopped and in NEUTRAL. Only then can you shift into 4 LO.

push the button in for 5 seconds

Gotta have it in Nuetral and push the button for 5 sec when in 4Lo position.

You can't go straight from 2wd to 4low, even in neutral. You've got to wait for 4hi to engage before turning the knob to 4low. Otherwise the light just blinks, the buzzer beeps and you'll go nowhere.

make sure the 4LO light is lit before going back into drive. that one kept me stumped for a while...

I agree, You can't beat a manual shifter and even the locking hubs are a more positive system. If I had my way It would have the manual shifter and possibly the manual locking hubs.

I agree with the manual shifter but I find the locking hubs are a PITA. I dont know why they dont put a M shifter in for the 4WD my FJ has one.
