I have the same experience with tons of gravel on our winter roads and no paint issues yet. Seems pretty durable to me. Of course I have read about thin paint problems on just about every vehicle on the planet.

Seems alot of Tundra owners complain about several problems for no problems to exist. Don't need to own; I research and read. It is what it is. All trucks have problems.

I have an '08 Tundra DC 4x4 5.7L and haven't had any problems yet. I do however want to see a Heavy Duty Version of this truck, as if this truck isn't heavy enough. This truck turns heads, hauls ass, and I can't complain about the 17mpg city/23.4mpg highway either. That is if I keep my foot off the accelerator and use the cruise control. Everyone that looks at my truck and/or rides in it compliments its size, speed, and comfort.

Had to buy a step stool so my mother can get into it though. Haven't got the tube steps for it yet.
