K&N High-Flow Intake System Adds 14.3 Horsepower To 2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7L - TundraTalk.net

The K&N High-Flow Intake System for the 2008 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8, increases horsepower by 14.3 hp at 4786 rpm over the stock Toyota intake configuration. To achieve such a performance increase, K&N replaces the Tundra’s original intake assembly; including the air box, air filter and intake tube with an all-new intake design.
The new system draws air through a K&N High-Flow Air Filter that increases airflow and filtering capacity, and never needs to be replaced. Protecting the chrome top cone-shaped air filter, and isolating it from engine heat, is a powder coated aluminum heat shield that replaces the Tundra’s stock air box. As it passes the filter, air travels through a K&N Roto-Molded Polyethylene Tube that is formed and shaped, in the design phase, to drive a more laminar flow of air to the Tundra’s 5.7L V8 engine.

The Tundra is currently available where quality performance is sold, can be installed in 90 minutes or less and is backed by the same K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty® as all K&N OE Replacement Air Filters.

I've seen them on ebay for mid $200's. I bought my K&N 77 series on Ebay for $259 shipped.

I put this CAI on my 5.7 Tundra and really like it, cleaned up the engine bay and added a bit of "bling", lol.

BHP and RWHP can be the same thing. What you mean to ask is: Is the measurement taken at the flywheel or at the wheels?

K&N only has a chassis dyno, I'm betting it's RWHP that they are measuring.

All dyno's are "brake"s of some sort.

I own a 2006 tundra with 16,000 miles. I went for a 100 mile test when my truck was STOCK. Filled my truck up at the gas station got on the highway and set the cruise control at 65 mph. Came back to the same gas station and filled up again. I got 18.1 miles to the gallon. I installed a BORLA exhaust and the K&N cai and my second test was at the same gas station and the same 100 mile trip. Now I get 20.1 miles per gallon.
