Toyota Releases 2013 Pricing For Tundra and Four Other Truck Models

Toyota has just released the pricing for the 2013 Highlander, 4Runner, Sequoia, Tundra and FJ Cruiser. Along with the prices are some nice updates.

The Toyota 4Runner is a body-on-frame SUV with three rows of seating. This is a serious truck with a very tough, powerful, heavy and hence fuel-thirsty four-wheel drive system. For 2013, the four-wheel dirve transfer-case on the SR5 model is now activated by a button instead of with a lever. This makes it more modern in feel. Drivers will likely appreciate this civilizing touch. The USB port is also now more accesible as it is relocated from the glove compartment to the center stack. Prices range from $31,340 for the SR5 4ื2 to $40,880 for the Limited grade 4ื4.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is designed to go off-road. It has been around since 2007 and since it competes with the Jeep Wrangler, which rarely updates itself, changes to the FJ are equally few and far between. For 2013 all FJ Cruisers now use daytime running lights as standard. They also feature power mirrors with integrated lights. This is essentially making an option that most people want, a piece of standard equipment. Prices have increased an average of $765 across the FJ Cruiser lineup. The 2013 MSRP starts at$26,880 for the 4ื2 model with a $28,470 for the 4ื4.

The Sequoia is massive. This huge vehicle is based on the Tundra pickup and is a three-row SUV. Being aggressively styled it is perfect for families who abhor minivans which is probably why Toyota has chosen this vehicle to debut an industry-first Blue-ray rear seat video system.

All 2013 Sequoias now use the 381-hp 5.7-liter V8 since the the 310-hp 4.6-liter V8 has been discontinued. Upgrading the engine to the larger V8 cost $625 on the 2012 model. Prices across the line have increased by $580 on average. The 2013 Sequoia has prices starting at $41,955 for the SR5 4ื2 to $62,570 for the Platinum 4ื4.

Prices for the Sequoias’s sibling, the Tundra pickup, are slightly increasing since 2012. The 2013 MSRP is $25,355 for the Tundra 4ื2 Regular Cab with a 4 liter V6 and climb to $43,795 for the Limited CrewMax 4ื4 5.7-liter V8.

Does anyone know if you will actually be able to get the Platinum with Rock Warrior in 2013?

Looks like the 4.6L V8 will still be available on the Tundra.

The 4.6 was only dropped with the sequoias because of low volume sales.

The article should state that the 4.6L is no longer available, as opposed to being discontinued. The latter makes it sounds like they got rid of the engine, as opposed to not being available on that particular model.

I thought the Sequoia was being dropped from the lineup completely to meet cafe standards. Surprised to see it.

I kind of like having the smaller engine in our sequoia, much better mpg on family vacations.

The price of the 4runners should include the 4.6 liter engine not the 4.0.
Price went up on those from the 4th to the 5th generation 4runners by quite a bit.

engine swap out!

I have a 02 tundra TRD I love .
I cant afford to keep it . Gas mileage is killer (about 12 0r 14 ) I would love to find a diesel , or gas 6 cyl to swap it out! Does Toy make one ? Can I buy a long block? I would think in this day and age some one would build a kit to save these trucks from the junk yards in the near future.
Even if I have to have a tranny plate machined it would be worth it in the long run. thought I caould retire with this truck. so I watched the milage and now only 80 k sad..

I thought they dropped the v8's off of 4runners when this new gen came out?

a v6 will not improve your gas mileage by much fyi.. the 4.7l is an awesome reliable engine, older ones were a little thirstier though, maybe you could try swapping in a 5 speed from the 05-06? Many junkyards in my are have 4.7s sitting in their lots forever... no one buys them because they never break!
